Umi Fishbar & Grill Opens In PGA, Sushi Lovers Rejoice

On Wednesday night, Gab threw not one but two amazing events, kicking our event planning skills into high gear!

First, we hosted the exclusive Grand Opening of Umi Fishbar & Grill, Restaurateur Carmine Giardini’s newly opened waterfront Asian Fusion dining concept located in Palm Beach Gardens.

Generous menu samplings prepared by Executive Chef John Belleme and Sushi Chef Mike Jin floated around the restaurant, including heaping plates of oysters, spinach and bacon flatbread, miso-sake roasted seabass, pork buns, bacon-wrapped dates with marcoma almonds and manchego cheese, and a rainbow assortment of sushi rolls.
Attendees admired Karen Hanlon's hip, modern décor, including striking light fixtures, spacious seating, an open kitchen, and gorgeous panoramic views of the harbor.

At Umi, Executive Chef John Belleme creates dishes with clean flavor profiles and his signature Asian, Latin American and Spanish influences. Umi is the only restaurant in the area to offer a robata grill, a traditional slow-cooking style of northern Japan that heightens flavors of meat and fish over binchotan charcoal.

We can't wait to visit Umi for Happy Hour, sipping signature cocktails and watching the sun set over the harbor at PGA's sexy new sushi concept.

Umi Fishbar and Grill is located in the Harbour Financial Plaza at 2401 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens. It is open for dinner daily at 4 p.m., with Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m.
