This Wednesday, June 29, Boca Raton Life Time Athletic brings you Dance 101, the newest in the ongoing Life & Learn 101 series. Beginning at 7 p.m., shimmy, step and waltz your way to a toned physique under the instruction of Samantha Melesenka for just $5 (benefiting the Life Time Fitness Foundation).

Dancing is uplifting, sexy, and increases strength and flexibility while torching calories. It’s no wonder that trends like Zumba DVDs and sitcoms like Dancing with the Stars have become such hits. In fact, Dancing with the Stars is a perfect example of how fun and effective dancing can be. While many stars entered the show fit and trim (personal trainers and private chefs can do wonders!), consider the stars, like Kirstie Alley and Kelly Osbourne, who have battled their weight and ended the season looking and feeling phenomenal.

Good news is, you don’t have to be asked on Dancing with the Stars to reap all of these wonderful benefits - just join us at Boca Raton Life Time Athletic for Dance 101! Life Time Athletic "High Octane" Event Brings The Fire

On Friday, April 15, Gab brought plenty of untamed entertainment to Life Time's pool area with "High Octane," a special event for Life Time members and their guests. Partygoers decked out in Spring fashions arrived to the energetic sounds of tribal drummers - and the unmistakable aroma of smoked BBQ.
Smokehouse Grille & Wingery catered the event with their famous wings, pork, turkey, and signature sauces. Guests were also treated to decadent Lollie Bites, because, well, who doesn't love cake on a stick? We even caught a few people stashing extras in their handbags!

The evening's high-energy entertainment kicked off, literally, with a group of capoeira dancers, Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts artists who started the night out with splits, flips and choreographed one-on-one battles. As the sun (and several spiked Tropical Punch cocktails) went down, the night lit up with tribal-inspired fire performances.

Some performances were seductive, some were plain wild, but, judging by the applause, they were crowd-pleasers across the board. When the party ended, guests went home with a souvenir - their bodies etched in intricate tribal tattoos. $5 per person entrance donations benefited the Life Time Fitness Foundation, a 501 c3 foundation supporting healthy kids and healthy communities.

Tonight, Gab Indulges in 'The Sweetest Party in Town'

Chocolate has been eerily absent from the normally-inundated-with-sweets Gab office for the past few weeks (One intern recently noted, "I've never eaten as much cake in my entire life as I have during my internship here. You guys eat a lot of cake.").

Tonight, we'll be making up for lost time at the 10th Annual Chocolate Decadence event, “The Sweetest Party in Town.” If you remember the chocolate body painting fun we had with Boca Raton Life Time Athletic at last year's event, you know that we take our chocolate very seriously.

From 6 to 9 p.m., we'll be sampling sweet and savory gourmet delights from some of South Florida’s renowned restaurants and caterers, sipping Pinon Grill's Chocolate Martini Specialty Cocktail, and trying our luck at Boca Raton Life Time Athletic's prize wheel, with goodies like massages, Life Cafe treats and Boot Camp sessions (presumably to burn off all that chocolate). All proceeds of the event support the community projects of the Junior League of Boca Raton.

Hurry, though - VIP tickets are already completely sold out (250) and hundreds of general admission tickets have been sold.
