The Intrigue of Brazil at 'A Night in Rio,' Gab's Fairmont Turnberry Isles Event

Starting off our event-filled week last Monday was The Gab Group's exclusive "Night In Rio" party at the Fairmont Turnberry Isles. Although originally set to be hosted at the hotel's tropical laguna pool area, the weather (more more North Pole than South America) dictated that we bring the party indoors.

With less than a week to go, we put our event-planning skills to the test, arranging new decor, creating an indoor stage, securing lighting, selecting the best entertainment, and ultimately setting the stage for incredible memories.

Come Monday evening, we had successfully created a sexy, bright Brazilian Carnival. Guests enjoyed beautifully presented hors d'oeuvres created by the catering staff at The Turnberry Fairmont, teetering stiltwalkers, interactive jungle creatures, sexy samba dancers, and the unforgettable five-piece live band, Mano Santa.

Never a dull moment for The Gab Group!

Boca Raton Life Time Athletic's "Winter Wonderland" Event Brings Holiday Cheer

On Friday, December 17, Gab and Boca Raton Life Time Athletic Club hosted the annual “Winter Wonderland” party, where guests spread holiday cheer by providing new, unwrapped toys for Toys For Tots and donating to the Life Time Fitness Foundation in lieu of an entrance fee.

Reminiscent of winter in New York City’s Central Park, "Winter Wonderland" greeted guests with fresh snow fall and gorgeous models serving champagne. Attendees danced to live band Suga, dined on a selection of pastas provided by LifeCafĂ©, and mingled under the stars at BRLTA's spectacular pool area. Keeping warm with fondue desserts provided The Melting Pot and coffees, lattes and cappuccinos from the Boca Bean espresso station, guests celebrated the holidays at Boca Raton's most exclusive health resort-style club.

After a cheerful evening of fabulous entertainment and good will, guests left with complimentary photo souvenirs courtesy of Digital Images Group and memories of a fanastic evening.

Il Bacio's "Naughty or Nice" Holiday Party Benefits Toys for Tots

Partiers braved the South Florida cold (35 degrees?! Brr!) for Il Bacio's over-the-top  “Naughty or Nice" holiday celebration, warming up with festive cocktails sponsored by Ketel One and the chance to win up to $1,000 cash. Although some guests may have been naughty, the party was decidedly 'nice,' with proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots.

Owner Steven Pellegrino played his part in the season for giving, featuring Il Bacio’s first-ever Mega Money Booth. Ten lucky guests entered the booth for 20 seconds - Caught in a swirling blizzard of cash, they garbbed as many fistfuls (and shirtfuls) as they were able! The smiling winners walked away with hundreds of dollars cash for holiday shopping.

Throughout the evening, guests danced to holiday mash-ups by DJ Brett the Hitman, sipping Ketel One cocktails as snow flurries fell over the massive outdoor courtyard. Santa even came out early this year to find out which guests at Il Bacio were naughty and nice, proving you're never too old to tell old Saint Nick what's on your Christmas list!

Umi Fishbar & Grill Opens In PGA, Sushi Lovers Rejoice

On Wednesday night, Gab threw not one but two amazing events, kicking our event planning skills into high gear!

First, we hosted the exclusive Grand Opening of Umi Fishbar & Grill, Restaurateur Carmine Giardini’s newly opened waterfront Asian Fusion dining concept located in Palm Beach Gardens.

Generous menu samplings prepared by Executive Chef John Belleme and Sushi Chef Mike Jin floated around the restaurant, including heaping plates of oysters, spinach and bacon flatbread, miso-sake roasted seabass, pork buns, bacon-wrapped dates with marcoma almonds and manchego cheese, and a rainbow assortment of sushi rolls.
Attendees admired Karen Hanlon's hip, modern dĂ©cor, including striking light fixtures, spacious seating, an open kitchen, and gorgeous panoramic views of the harbor.

At Umi, Executive Chef John Belleme creates dishes with clean flavor profiles and his signature Asian, Latin American and Spanish influences. Umi is the only restaurant in the area to offer a robata grill, a traditional slow-cooking style of northern Japan that heightens flavors of meat and fish over binchotan charcoal.

We can't wait to visit Umi for Happy Hour, sipping signature cocktails and watching the sun set over the harbor at PGA's sexy new sushi concept.

Umi Fishbar and Grill is located in the Harbour Financial Plaza at 2401 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens. It is open for dinner daily at 4 p.m., with Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m.

Happy Holidays From Gab!

Gab has reason to celebrate.

We delivered event after amazing event (sometimes juggling up to four events a week!) for two months straight, planning, partying, and yes, sometimes praying, our way through high season. There were thousands of RSVPs to sort, piles of decorations to set up and more than a few sleepless nights, but we pulled together as a team and gave South Florida the incredible parties we're known for.

...It was time for a party of our own.

Check out The Gab holiday party photos, from our crazy party
bus ride to the (crazier) VIP room of the W Fort Lauderdale.
